South Australia grants interment rights for a term rather than automatically in perpetuity. The Burial and Cremation Act 2013 lets a cemetery set the length itself, or grant the right in perpetuity, and requires it to renew on request for at least five years at a time. In practice the major Adelaide operators sell new burial rights on a term of around 50 years, with renewal available.
