Apr 2025Incredible professional service. My father passed recently and we had minimal time to organize a funeral for him. We contacted Blackwell Funeral Homes Glenside the night of. From that moment on everything fell into place. We were Greeted by Rachel, the director, and words could not describe how amazing she was in with accommodating our situation. She kept us up to date each day, she supported us throughout the tough time and decisions. Rachel also introduced us to our Celebrant Kate Villano, who was incredible! Both made the day so perfect. Feb 2025I’m writing this review so that others don’t have to go through the horrible experience that we went through with this funeral service. At the church reception, a staff member from Blackwell Funeral Glenside hurried us along shouting that the deceased “is patiently waiting outside” in the hearse to rush us to the cemetery. This was not funny and was incredibly insensitive. We weren’t given ample time to consume the overpriced sandwiches, with stale bread and off avocado. This funeral service made a tough time even worse.
