Aug 2025I chose KM Smith mainly because of proximity and convenience at a time when I knew my husband didn’t have long to live. I interacted with Julie Freeman and she was excellent getting everything worked out, being at the funeral, and even picking up the ashes and bringing them to me after the funeral. One thing that I would recommend that KM Smith change as an organisation policy is to have the staff member who coordinates the funeral arrangements to also be at the funeral. Being told that someone unknown to me would conduct the funeral caused me some additional stress at an already stressful time. However, once I shared my concerns with Julie, she acted quickly to get herself scheduled for the day and called me to reassure me that she would be there. That made a big difference and all worked out very well.

They looked after our Mum with care and compassion, helping us with organizing the service leading the way to ensure a stress free day for the family. From the first contact, Lynn organizing everything and the staff on the day with Peter the celebrant who was amazing, the whole process seemed effortless.
