Mar 2025This review is a long time coming and I apologise for waiting for so long. I just wasn't ready. Trevor was so kind to my sister and me with our mother's funeral. I loved (and I know my mother would have as well) the non-for-profit touches that Sovereign Funerals provided. The service flowers being donated to a locate nursing home afterwards is something that I still remember, even with the funeral being held in March of 2019. Trevor allowed my sister and me to make our own changes and contributions to the service (something which when trying to decide on a funeral service and director other would not allow). I've recommend Sovereign Funerals to a few friends of mine who have lost their mothers and fathers too early as well. Being so young and losing a parent, I felt a bit lost in organising everything and Trevor made sure that my sister and I felt supported throughout the process. My mother's funeral and celebration of life was beautiful. I don't want to have to go through planning another funeral any time soon, but if I do, I know how supported I will be at Sovereign. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Anna Carney's life was celebrated with love and respect.

July 2025We had a prepaid cremation plan for my husband Jim with Sovereign. When the time came, all it took was one phone call, and Sovereign came in and made the hardest time of my life a bit easier. Everything went very smoothly. In my experience, they are caring and professional. Zero hiccups. 10/10 (I’m sorry that it took over 3 years for me to write this review.)

May 2024We would highly recommend using Sovereign funerals for your loved one. Trevor the director is so supportive & kind. He made everything easy to organise. His skills & expertise in putting together the photo tribute, music, order of service, pamphlet & flower arrangement were all exactly as we asked. No request was too difficult. The service was perfect & exactly how we imagined. Wendy the celebrant was lovely & fantastic. Her words during the whole service were perfect. The streaming link was excellent. A number of friends & family used it & commented how good it was & they felt like they were there. Also love that this is a not for profit company. Thank you for everything Trevor & team. The process was extremely easy and conducted in a sympathetic and empathetic manner, the service couldn't have gone any better and was a beautiful celebration of a life. The fact that Sovereign are a not for profit is also fantastic.
