We thanked her on the day for her caring attitude and help and she told us she has been with Alex Gow for 21 years. Rita Marie is an asset to you and certainly is a great ambassador for the company. Thank you Rita Marie for making such a sad time that little bit easier.

Apr 2021The Manager was very rude to me when I picked up my father's ashes and when our family visited our parents monument in the rose garden we lay dad's urn of ashes beside the monument to take photos before we left to scatter Dads ashes at his beloved property at Maleny. Manager stood at the door with her arms crossed watching us then sent the gardener out who wanted to know what we were doing. I stated we were having photos taken with Dads urn at their monument with our family present as several of them could not attend dad's funeral due to covid.. and then we were just leaving to go and scatter Dads ashes..they were both very hostile making our family day very uncomfortable. We have had three of our family cremated with Alex Gow Deception Bay..and we have decided that if this is the way they treat grieving families will not be using their services again.

Apr 2021Alex Gow are the most incompetent service providers I have ever dealt with. My father passed away suddenly from a rare form of blood cancer. Not only were we not provided with all the information regarding costs and discounts, or that they would send off for the "certified death certificate", the celebrant who they organised, lost my nieces handwritten letter to her grandfather to be read out during the service, they presented my fathers body how they sought fit and not by the instructions provided by the funeral. The flowers were not at the Chapel, there were no tissues available for family or guests. The staff had to find tissue boxes and only supplied two boxes of tissues for approximately 70 guests. Don't even get me started on the death certificate and paperwork after the service. its been a month and we are still waiting for death certificate, the firm handling the estate can't even get the death certificate as they had recorded incorrect details down for the executor and did not even ask to check who the executor of the estate was. Calling one of the deceased's daughters a bully because all she wants is the death certificate to finalise the estate to pay the invoice. When Alex Gow was approached about all the mishaps on the day of the funeral their response was to blame the family and not accept responsibility for anything. I will never ever recommend Alex Gow to anyone.
