Oct 2025We contacted and engaged Stephen Baggs to assist with our father’s recent passing. Not once did they provide any sympathy or support. They didn’t even acknowledge our loss. The entire conversation was them upselling products and services they offer despite the fact we said we were simply wanting to arrange for the collection of our father and we can discuss this further once they had our dad in their care due to being overwhelmed with his unexpected passing. But no… they insisted in offering us additional services and not listening to our family needs. We were told they don’t pick up any deceased on a Sunday and that it would be actioned on the Monday. We were very unsettled with all of this and we rang the next morning (Monday) at 0900 to cancel using them after their careless attitude and we were told they “think we have him here already” -we told them they said they couldn’t pick him up on the Sunday and they said “ hold on-but yes I think we have him here already”. Again, we said they shouldn’t have and then they put us on hold and returned to the telephonic call and came back and stated “no we don’t have him yet” No family needs this careless attitude towards their loved one -this was the icing on the cake and we immediately withdrew our previous appointment and we have since engaged with another local funeral parlour who has been everything and more towards not just our father but to us also. Our father deserved the upmost care and respect which clearly wasn’t going to

Oct 2024I would highly recommend Stephen Baggs FD for when you are going through the most difficult time of your life. The staff are incredibly caring and went over and above. I have to mention Craig Kramme and Fiona as well as the outstanding celebrant Gina Brakey. There were a few absolutely unavoidable hiccups that were sorted out as quickly as possible and the day went so perfectly - a beautiful send off for my gorgeous 27yo old son Sam. Thank you x

Aug 2020Dave looked after me and my family after the sudden passing of my dear father. Dave made the hardest day of my life so much easier. He gave us all the information we needed, he took his time, let us discuss things and nothing was too much trouble. The funeral had to be done quickly because of Covid-19 and everything was done professionally, with great support and reassurance. Before, during and after the funeral I was supported and felt comforted during this very sad and emotional time. I highly recommend Dave and the staff at Stephen Baggs Funeral Home. Thank you for all you did, it will never be forgotten and always appreciated.

Feb 2020Our mother passed away on the 18th of January. Originally I was going to use a funeral director from Melbourne who had done my husbands funeral 3 months earlier. It all got a bit too hard for us due to logistics, so at the last minute we asked Stephen Baggs to take over the funeral for us. They were respectful, sympathetic and understanding. Nothing was a problem. The funeral was lovely and went without a hitch. I would recommend this Funeral Director to look after your loved one, as they did with ours.
