Stephen Baggs Funeral Directors

We contacted and engaged Stephen Baggs to assist with our father’s recent passing. Not once did they provide any sympathy or support. They didn’t even acknowledge our loss. The entire conversation was them upselling products and services they offer despite the fact we said we were simply wanting to arrange for the collection of our father and we can discuss this further once they had our dad in their care due to being overwhelmed with his unexpected passing. But no… they insisted in offering us additional services and not listening to our family needs. We were told they don’t pick up any deceased on a Sunday and that it would be actioned on the Monday. We were very unsettled with all of this and we rang the next morning (Monday) at 0900 to cancel using them after their careless attitude and we were told they “think we have him here already” -we told them they said they couldn’t pick him up on the Sunday and they said “ hold on-but yes I think we have him here already”. Again, we said they shouldn’t have and then they put us on hold and returned to the telephonic call and came back and stated “no we don’t have him yet” No family needs this careless attitude towards their loved one -this was the icing on the cake and we immediately withdrew our previous appointment and we have since engaged with another local funeral parlour who has been everything and more towards not just our father but to us also. Our father deserved the upmost care and respect which clearly wasn’t going to
