It is always tough to lose a loved one. And especially tough when it is your first time organising a funeral. When one is feeling vulnerable, it was most heartening to have caring seasoned professionals who explained the process, covering every aspect of the funeral and incorporating our needs and wishes. From the initial phone calls prior to the death of my father, through to the phone call straight after his passing, to meeting with Frances to go through the ceremony and cremation, every aspect was done seamlessly with dignity and utmost care. Tom, the manager at Herbert King funerals in Ashburton, was equally delightful, caring and gracious. He ensured that the chapel was immaculately presented, that the audio visual was working including the live streaming, and the afternoon tea was similarly presented, with areas for people to stand and sit, with side access doors available for those who experienced difficulty walking. I cannot thank Tobin Brothers enough for all their diligence in the preparation of my father’s funeral, allowing everyone who attended to enjoy the service, afternoon tea and being together in celebration.

They accomodated our last minute changes without fuss. They made the whole process from planning right through to carrying out the service go very smoothly. Cannot thank you enough for making this sad event as easy as possible for us all.
