As I supported a friend to farewell her husband of nearly 50 years, Deb, Emma and Gary were incredibly supportive in ensuring that everything was taken care of. The result was a magnificent farewell ceremony at Mawson Chapel attended by family and friends last Friday which will always hold a treasured place in our memories. Nov 2025From the private and beautiful location at Belair National Park, to the china tea cups in which we toasted my mum with champagne, to the specially curated flowers, to the groovy 1989 Ford hearse, to the beautiful natural soft woollen casket and to the way Deb of Down to Earth Funerals was able to take the essence of my mum from just a few conversations with me and translate them into a lovely tribute, I don’t believe we could have given mum a better send off. Many family and friends told me mum’s funeral was the loveliest funeral they’d ever attended. I second that. Deb accommodated all my wishes during a very hard and emotional time and ultimately Down to Earth Funerals enabled me to honour my mum in a way that gave me much comfort 💜

July 2025Doesn't the name say it all!! Deb was available day and night to ensure the funeral arrangements for our father were managed with care and her experienced individual touch. Deb took all the worry out of our hands. As an example, our father died in the early hours of the morning at his nursing home. We called Deb in the night as arrangements to move our father had to be made immediately. Deb took the call and our relationship started from there. Knowing we were to deal with a local business was important to us as well. We only have good words to share with you about Deb.
