Dec 2025Somerville Funerals recently arranged the service for my mother, and I cannot speak highly enough of the experience. From the very beginning, their people-centred approach was evident. Every question I had was answered with patience and clarity, and any last-minute requests were accommodated without hesitation. We held a Hindu funeral with a small fire service, which Amardeep coordinated seamlessly with the crematorium. His understanding of the cultural requirements made the process smooth and stress-free. Both he and Sharon stayed in contact after the service to make sure everything went well and to check in on how we were doing, which meant a lot. My mother was dressed exactly as I requested, and she looked beautiful with the flowers arranged around her. For a moment, I forgot to feel sad because everything looked so peaceful and perfect. The venue itself was lovely, with plenty of space and a comforting atmosphere. Amardeep and Sharon were invaluable in providing advice, guidance, and practical tips on every aspect—from writing the eulogy to creating a memorial video. Their support helped us honour Mum in a meaningful and heartfelt way. I’m incredibly grateful for their professionalism, compassion, and cultural sensitivity. They made a difficult time much easier, and I would strongly recommend Somerville Funerals to anyone seeking respectful, thoughtful care for their loved one.

Jan 2026Sharon was a gentle guide during a very difficult time. Taking time to go through the process of arranging a funeral for someone we loved dearly. It was obvious they knew how to navigate and support families through all the decision making to plan a send of that truely reflected our needs. Including picking up our friend from home with care and kindness, looking after and preparing her for the family viewing and of course from Service planning, to car procession and plot side burial. Not to mention offering support and guidance for my dear friends 13 yo neurodiverse son. A beautiful, seamless and gentle funeral was the outcome. Thank you Sharon and team for your beautiful and gentle assistance.

Dec 2025After the recent passing of our beloved dad, we chose Summerville Funerals and couldn’t be more grateful. From the first phone call to the gentle collection of Dad from our home, the team showed genuine care and kindness. Nicole and her team were attentive, supportive, and the finer details were amazing, nothing was ever too much trouble. We held Dad’s service at the Summerville Chapel at Allambe Gardens, it was handled with dignity and warmth. We truly felt cared for, and that Dad was treated with the utmost respect. Highly recommended and Thankyou for taking care of us and our dad at such a sad and vulnerable time.

Feb 2026My father recently passed away and I had difficulty finding a funeral service based on the Sikh faith. I found out about Mr Amardeep Singh at Somerville Funerals through word of mouth and the service we got exceeded all expectations. The funeral was conducted in a manner truly befitting a dignified and honourable man. The Sikh traditions were observed with care and devotion, and I did not have to worry about guiding anyone on what was required. The paath and background kirtan were thoughtfully and lovingly chosen, and were entirely appropriate, creating a service that felt deeply respectful, peaceful, and fitting. I cannot speak highly enough of the service I got and would highly recommend Mr Amardeep Singh and Somerville Funerals.
