Mar 2026My mum was in her mid 90’s and deteriorating. With a view to preparing as best we could, we started speaking with local funeral services. What we found appeared to be ‘cartel’ type pricing (all the same) and all with extras. Then we tried Bare. Genuine customer service , sincerity and competitive pricing. I spoke with caring local staff every time I needed too and they followed up when required every time. The passing of our near and dear is difficult , arranging the final steps in this process shouldn’t be. Bare does it very well, they are a business and a service I would highly recommend.

Feb 2026At all stages throughout ‘our journey’ for our mum, knowing she was going to leave this world, BARE provided personal support via telephone and real time access to speak with someone as well as providing us with an ‘arranger’ to monitor our progress at timely intervals, alerting us to a range of things needing attention and the structured information we required as a family that assisted in our understanding of what was required; all provided with support, guidance and compassion. The delight in actually having a ‘person’ to speak with, rather than an automated or computer generated system to attend to our queries, questions and concerns was a ‘breath of fresh air! In addition, the 45 minute meeting with the BARE legal team has been invaluable in allaying any mysteries in relation to the necessary follow up required. Thank you to the BARE team for their courage in providing such a great service to people. It certainly provides authentic alternatives to current end of life rituals, processes, procedures and works intuitively alongside individuals and extended families to bring a sense of calm and clarity to ‘end of life’ roles and responsibilities.
