The family organised our father's funeral a few years ago, and it was a seamless process. We naturally called Albert & Meyer again when Mum passed away. The funeral was so thoughtfully managed by Karen. We were also thankful for the custom-made funeral book in Mum's favourite colour - it was the extra touches that made it so memorable

I am genuinely surprised by the number of positive reviews and can’t help but question whether some may have been posted by Albert & Meyer themselves. Sadly, our family’s experience was not just disappointing. It was distressing and deeply upsetting. We would not recommend Albert & Meyer. Our experience began when my grandmother passed away and arrangements were made to collect her from the family home. When my mother called, the response was abrupt and dismissive, as though she were interrupting a Sunday football match. She was simply told, “I’ll be there in half an hour,” with no expression of sympathy or acknowledgement of our loss. When staff arrived, my aunty asked to be present while my grandmother was prepared to be taken from the home. The door was slammed in her face. Very little care or dignity was shown during this process. Given that this occurred in front of family, it is deeply concerning to imagine how my grandmother may have been treated once she left our home. Throughout the remainder of the process, staff continued to demonstrate a lack of empathy. Communication from the funeral home was also poor. Two days before the funeral, my mother was told they were unsure whether the selected coffin would fit the grave, as my grandmother was being buried in an existing family plot. The proposed solution was inappropriate and, ultimately, no clear resolution was communicated. In addition, the funeral home failed to lodge the correct paperwork with the cemetery to c
