Sept 2025Over the last 18 months H. Parsons and in particular Chris Stokes, were the funeral directors for both my parents. My family and I have nothing but praise for the efficiency in the way Chris organised these funerals. It is not an easy time and knowing that you are supported by such a professional certainly made the process a lot more streamlined. Chris organised a funeral for my father at the fleet air arm museum at Albatross, right down to having a naval guard of honour. I felt he went beyond to ensure everything that was asked for was delivered. In torrential rain at both Mum and Dad's grave site, Chris and his team waited patiently as the family had their final goodbyes. All the recommendations Chris suggested to us from catering, funeral booklet, funeral celebrant, audio visual team, proved to be magnificent suggestions. Our family put a lot of trust in Chris and at no stage did he let us down. Chris allowed the family to grieve without the added stress to worry about details. Thank you.

Mar 2025I recently had the pleasure of working with the team at H.Parsons Funeral Home in Nowra, and I cannot speak highly enough of their exceptional service and compassion. Especially David, the funeral director. During a difficult time, David went above and beyond to ensure my needs were met. His professionalism, empathy, and kindness were truly outstanding, and he consistently exceeded my expectations. What struck me most was their willingness to go the extra mile, even when they didn't have to. Their dedication to providing personalized and meaningful funeral services is genuinely impressive. I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the entire team at H.Parsons Funeral Home for their outstanding support and care. I highly recommend their services to anyone in need. 5/5 stars

Oct 2024My 92 year old mother died recently & we returned to Wray Owen’s, now H. Parsons, to arrange her funeral. My father died in 2009. Again, they arranged my mother’s funeral perfectly. Funeral Director, Christopher Stokes is the consummate professional & a lovely empathetic person, to top it off. Christopher’s suggestions for the chapel service (including live stream), celebrant, caterers & memorial printer, were excellent. We could not have done this without their guidance & service. We thank you all, from the bottom of our hearts! Fondest regards, Mel Marriott & Family

Apr 2020With my Father dying suddenly, my mother and I had to organise a funeral which is something neither of us had done before. From the moment we entered the offices of Wray Owen, we were very comfortable with our choice. There was a calm, peacefulness in office environment and the way we were greeted. During that first meeting with Chris, he was compassionate and professional. His approach was considerate as he explained things, giving examples and options when appropriate, and was extremely patient and caring. We were made to feel very comfortable to ask questions and make our own suggestions. After that meeting, Chris kept us up to date with each step of the process, each time being compassionate and checking on our well being. On the day of the funeral, the staff were helpful, explained changes needed due to the wet weather and were there for any help they could provide. We are extremely grateful for the supportive, professional and compassionate service provided to us from Wray Owen and would certainly recommend them to others needing a professional, caring funeral director.
