Nov 2025My husband passed away in September and we had the funeral in October. We found Simplicity Funerals because we live close by to the Joondalup branch and would always see it in passing, and I was pleasantly surprised by how caring and lovely everyone who worked there are. I would like to especially thank Donna T, Toni and Rebecca for being so involved in the whole process, making it very easy and worry-free. I am touched by how Simplicity Funerals were able to help me in this difficult time with a very sudden loss, and how caring and kind to me and my daughter they were throughout this whole process despite the fact that we are mere strangers. Every part of the process from the planning to the day of the viewing was handled very professionally and respectfully. Feb 2026On the 5th February 2026, 2 days after my Father passed away, we called into simplicity funerals joondalup to find out a couple of details, we were both visibly distraught just loosing my Dad and Grandad. 3 years ago my Daughter and I helped my elderly Parents set up their pre payed funeral at the joondalup office. So we had exposure to their requests. Unfortunately during the last 3 years of my Fathers Alzheimers the family dynamics has changed and lot of things, had been altered as we hardly have any communication with my Mother. We understand that in situations like ours, there is a confidential agreement in place and we also respect that however … I suggest you train your receptionist to have more compassion and empathy and show people some respect! When we walked in I clearly said I had lost my Dad 2 days ago and was quite distressed due to the fact my Mother was withholding funeral information from the whole family. I asked the receptionist if I could speak to the funeral director for my Dad. She was very cold and abrupt. A young guy came out and shock my hand and said hello. I ask him if he could advise me when my Fathers funeral was so we could plan and also for my Son to fly interstate. We were told the funeral was private at the request of my mother .. I was in shock explained the family dynamics but very unsympathetic said he couldn’t say and I’d have to speak to my Mother, at this time a miserable faced woman with blond hair came and stood behind the counter

Oct 2025My brother and I thank Simplicity for making the process as stress free and as smooth as possible. Every enquiry was dealt with immediately and we commended their professionalism and calming demeanour during the grieving process. I also want to thank our celebrant VJ for the tremendous job she did in firstly meeting with us in my home and then providing such eloquence, honour, humour, comfort and dignity to the service.
