June 2025We were not prepared at all for dad's death, even though he was 94! I called simplicity and they were so helpful. They came and gracefully took my dad's body away from his nursing home, where he passed away peacefully. When we met with the funeral director, Cara, she was very helpful as my brother and I had no idea where to start! It was fantastic that there were so many brochures to easily pick out what we needed. And we can't thank our celebrant, Lindsey enough. She met us at the nursing home so my mum could be involved to tell dad's story. Lindsey was so patient and got the best out of my mum! Dad's memorial went without a glitch. Lindsey delivered dad's story as if she had been part of our family 🥰 I highly recommend Simplicity Funerals. Not only professional but so personal too. Thank you x

Sept 2025Very disappointed with the this services. The team are not compassionate or warm and have destroyed my daughter's favourite blanket even though it was made clear to me afterwards by coroner's office that the funeral home in not supposed to destroy anything without consent from the parent. Or at least asking what I wish to do. There are many issues I have but they will need to to be discussed privately. All I can say is dont be forced into using a funeral director or made to feel guilty for not feeling any warmth or care from the person that is the first red flag.

Feb 2026Not impressed. Failed to return multiple calls. Unable to deal with an estranged family. Look at the reviews, results are hit and miss. It's a gamble not worth taking. Lucky the dead can't complain.

Mar 2025Horrible horrible service from this funeral home. I don’t even know where to begin. They were so lovely, kind, quick to communicate… until they got our money. After that, not a single ounce of communication, care, sympathy, understanding, nothing!! We had planned a viewing of our loved one to say a final goodbye and were told they’d be in contact to confirm it was going ahead… never happened!! We couldn’t get in contact with anyone so we just had to show up hoping for the best, hoping and praying we’d be able to see our loved one, one last time. We were told we would get our loved one’s clothes back, never happened. Then to be lied to and told “they were too soiled” we saw our loved one when they passed and he was NOT soiled in any way shape or form, they simply failed to do their job and communicate AGAIN. We were then told we would be communicated with to assure us that our loved one had arrived safely at the crematorium… never happened!! We were then told we’d be contacted when our loved one was ready to collect, never happened!! Our loved one was left waiting SIX WEEKS trusting that surely they wouldn’t have screwed us around again and not knowing this process, assumed this was a normal time frame. We’d had enough and rang ourselves to be told “oh yes he was ready 3 days after cremation” we could have had our loved one home for Christmas, instead we were left without the only presence we have left of him. Nov 2024Unfortunately I can't share a positive review. My dad was taken there in the night with agreement that someone would call after 9am to sort out arrangements. He did not want a funeral and I had always said I would drive him to the cemetery myself (I have a station wagon ). However Simplicity Funerals refused to allow me to do that unless they sent a hearse with two staff behind my car. When I said this is not necessary they then told me they were not the right company for me and that I would have to get dad transferred to another funeral parlour. This caused u told stress. Their main aim seemed to be about extracting maximum profit out of the experience. I cannot recommend them.
