Jan 2026I first met Robert in 2021 after my father passed away. We organised a simple cremation and Robert personally delivered my father’s ashes to my home, which meant a lot to me. In March 2025, I lost my husband far too young aged 54 after an illness. There was no hesitation in choosing Robert and his team again. From our first meeting after my husband died, Robert put my mind at ease. His calm guidance, knowledge and genuine care helped me navigate every step of the process with confidence and trust. I was concerned about correctly honouring my husband’s Serbian Orthodox culture and traditions, but Robert ensured the service was respectful, traditional, and beautifully tailored to our needs. The viewing was handled with dignity, and my family were impressed by the care shown. The live stream of the funeral service was invaluable, allowing friends and family overseas to be included, and having access to the replay meant so much to us. Every member of staff was compassionate and supportive, with special thanks to Meredith for her kindness and comfort. Even after the funeral, Robert continued to go above and beyond by personally delivering a candle box to Springvale cemetery — a gesture that speaks volumes about his dedication and respect. June 2025Robert Nelson Funerals put my dear sisters care first. From the first phone call my mind was put at ease. Contacting Robert Nelson Funerals asking them to take over care of my sister, after a terrible first meeting with a very large well known funeral home. Robert is the most professional knowledgeable helpful Funeral Director and Meredith helped me plan the funeral. I was guided by their knowledge and comforted by their care. The audio visual was perfect for NSW attendees, many text saying how well done it was and the Mass service was handled beautifully. The staff at the cemetery were wonderful. Robert and Meredith went out of their way to help, (80km round trip last minute to collect mass booklets) at a very stressful time. Planning a funeral is too important, my sister was cared for in the best way possible, dignity and respect. I should have contacted Robert Nelson Funerals first. Mar 2025In recent times we had occasion to engage Robert Nelson Funerals for a family service, the second in 3 years. As previously experienced (and with the forced complications of the Covid era) Robert looked after our family with complete respect & understanding, where all aspects were considered thoughtfully and nothing ever too much trouble. These are difficult circumstances for family, however Robert and his team took us through all the steps seamlessly. Both services were lovely and so befitting our parents. Feb 2024Robert and his dedicated and compassionate team looked after mum beautifully. From my initial inquiry to the placing of a cross on mum’s grave, Robert continued to help and support us - nothing was ever too much. It’s not an easy time for any family, especially over Christmas, but knowing that there was someone who had the experience and empathy to work with you, provide advice and prepare everything that was needed, was a great comfort. I would also like to thank Robert for recommending our celebrant, Sharon Burke. She created a gentle and yet celebratory service for mum that was thoughtful and sincere. It’s a sad time but one that did not have any added stress; this is a gift. Thank you.

Mar 2025Robert Nelson and his team helped guide myself and my family in arranging a funeral for my mother last july 2024. After visiting a few different funeral directors we came across Robert Nelson Funerals and were imediately put at ease from our first meeting. During a stressful and painful time Robert gave me confidence to go forward with his services as he had a quiet and experienced demeanour. Robert and his team worked very hard even in the early hours of the morning of the funeral ensuring the day would proceed smoothly. The quality of service, casket and live stream were all top notch. Robert's team had arranged Sally Williams to officiate the funeral of which she was kind, attentive and was able to craft a service for mum in no time at all. Robert's team had also prepared and dressed mum's body beautifully. Thank you to Robert, Sally and the lovely memebers of Robert Nelson Funeral's. You made a terrible time just a little bearable and I can't thank you enough for looking after mum and sending her off well.
