Apr 2025We recently entrusted Tobin Brothers Malvern with our beloved mum’s funeral, and I cannot speak highly enough of the care, professionalism, and compassion we received. From our very first meeting, Tom and his team made us feel supported and understood during one of the most difficult times of our lives. Tom guided us through every step with such patience and thoughtfulness, making sure that every detail was handled with care. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and every request was accommodated with understanding and respect. Even small details we hadn’t thought of were taken care of, and we were given the time and space to ensure everything we wanted to include for Mum was possible. The entire day was beautifully managed and ran seamlessly, allowing us to focus fully on honouring and celebrating Mum’s life. Thanks to Tom and the team, the service was heartfelt, dignified, and everything we could have hoped for. We are truly grateful for the kindness and support we received and will always remember the way they helped us through such a difficult time.

Mar 2025Such caring and detail-oriented people who made our family's life easier as we made arrangements after my mother's sudden death. They were compassionate, had a clearly laid out menu of offerings and prices (we held the service at a local venue and they handled everything), and provided as much support as needed (e.g. the Tributes team was happy to answer all my geeky questions about photo resolution and so on so her photo memorial was just right), and they handled all the printing, webcast production (a lot of people attended remotely as Mum had friends and family all around the world), etc. The celebrant who they hired for the service was superb - caring, professional, dedicated enough time to get to know enough about my mother and talk through how to craft the order of service so the full picture of her life could be painted. I've reached the age where other friends with elderly parents have asked what our experience with Tobin was, and I have unreservedly recommended them. You don't want to need their services, but when you do, Con and the team are there for you.

June 2022Tobin brothers collected my father from the hospital mortuary AFTER we told them we were not using there services. We went for a 5 minute consultation and told them we were not going to be using them as we didn’t feel comfortable. We went with a different funeral home. Tobin brothers then promised to deliver my father to the correct funeral home and then reneged telling them they had to collect him. It was one lie after another. Their tactic was to obviously prey on the vulnerable and hope we would just go with them since they had him in their possession . I returned to Tobin after they cancelled the transfer of my father and the manager tried to trick me that he was actually on his way just so I would leave. It was the most ludicrous situation and people should steer clear of this money hungry disgusting funeral home who care nothing about the family or loved ones that have passed but just about money and they will do anything to get it. We were left traumatised from the experience we had with them.
