Feb 2026Absolutely shocked with the email response I received from Mattiske funerals! I explained that I was living in the UK and with the time difference this was why I was emailing, rather than calling. I went into great depth of the circumstances of my mother’s recent death and the cremation service I’d like to arrange, only to receive an email response with literally just the estimated cost, not even a greeting. Zero compassion or empathy, not even a “sorry for your loss”.

July 2025My sister Dawn and I would like to express our sincere gratitude to Mattiske's Salisbury for the outstanding care and service given to our dearest Mum Gladys. From the initial planning through to the funeral service and the aftercare everybody was helpful, supportive, kind and compassionate. The atmosphere was dignified and respectful yet warm, friendly and welcoming. Right from our first enquiry consultant Kate paid attention to every detail of Mum's care just as we requested and in accordance with all our wishes; she was patient and understanding and always available to answer any questions or make adjustments for us as we planned the funeral, nothing was too much trouble. The memorial cards and flowers were perfect, as was Mum's preparation for viewing, representing our Mum so very well. Celebrant Barbara was genuinely warm and so caring and made us feel instantly reassured and at ease. Her support of us on the day of the funeral was deeply appreciated. Barbara too was always available to discuss the service and answer any questions; she captured the essence of our Mum and her life perfectly. Friends and family commented on how lovely the service was and how well it honoured Mum. Even when I had questions in the days following the funeral the staff at Mattiske's were always ready to help; each and every one was very kind. We are so grateful that we were able to farewell our beloved Mum in such a beautiful way and in accordance with her life and her wishes. Thank y
