Jan 2025After great nan passed, the last thing I wanted to do was plan the poor Darl’s funeral. Thankfully the team at Riverland Funerals made this process and breeze, and gosh they did a wonderful job at preparing her funeral! Great nan wanted an open casket, and specifically asked us to hide her double chin as she was a bigger gal. Lord I don’t know what they did, but that chin was gone just like my husband! For once she actually looked beautiful. The song choice was messed up, as we requested “Birds of a Feather” by Billie eilish, but instead Birds of Tokyo, more specifically - Lanterns, was played. Still beautiful , and the eulogy was phenoms x I would say that I hope to see the team again, but I would rather not! 🤣 (ps, the catered sandwiches provided at the wake almost sent me into heaven with Great nan, they too were phenoms x)
