Oct 2025In preparing for my mother's pre-paid funeral service, we were all so impressed with the staff at Newhaven. It seemed that absolutely nothing was too much trouble for them. We kept adding photos to the slideshow and requesting set order of certain photos, changing the main display photo and the order of service right up until the day before the service. Throughout, all the staff were patient and full of kindness. The coffin and the flowers were beautiful and the service went perfectly. Sharna, Darren and Jane are all a credit to Newhaven and the work they do. Thank you.

Oct 2025Last Wednesday Newhaven Funerals conducted our Mum's service. Our funeral director, Jessie, went above and beyond to support our family during our immense grief both before and during the service. I would also like to thank Sharna for looking after the order of service, amongst many other duties, and to Carlo for his assistance on the day of the service. Their professionalism, kindness and caring were truly outstanding, and our family will be forever grateful as they comforted us in a truly compassionate and empathetic way! May 2024I purchased a no service cremation from an unnamed cheap online place. If I had only known that New Haven charged only $200 more I would have used them . When collecting my sons ashes(as they also do the cremation for these companies) the lovely lady Jackie I believe was kind , compassionate, empathetic helpful and when it took me 3 times to actually go inside and I could not stop crying she comforted me gave me a private room to sit in and wait while she got the ashes. ALSO when I purchased the urn from the online company it was a huge run around and also a ridiculous cost so I asked the online company not to worry about the urn. BUT when I was at New Haven Jackie showed me the urns necklace etc that they had available now and were hundreds of dollars cheaper. I know that when someone dies and especially when they are young and it's unexpected that you don't have time to see what is economical or not as you are grieving. PLEASE try this place as I wish I had But was thankful all the same as they treated my sons body and me with respect and empathy etc. Please use this company and ask for Jackie and no I am not related to or even know anyone at this company personally.

Nov 2020My family cannot thank both Newhaven and Pethaven Funeral Directors enoug,h for everything they have done for us the past month. First our dear Aunty 95 years passed and as we had a prepaid plan for her with Newhaven, they stepped right in and handled every component of the many details, from collecting Aunty from her retirement home into their care to all aspects of the Service & cremation. All the staff, from Lyn, Jane, Tracy, George and Steve were amazing and nothing was ever an issue for them to deal with. Steve in particular went above and beyond on many occasions, especially when our dear little Chihuahua "Pedro" passed just a week after our Aunt. Pedro was put to sleep at an after hours emergency department and it was extremely traumatising for our family, especially not knowing the Pet cremation service they had recommended. It wasn't until the next day when I was speaking with Tracy in regards to my Aunty, that she reminded me they also could take Pedro into their car. Fortunately the other place had not collected Pedro as yet, so Steve went to collect him and I cannot describe the instant relief I felt when Steve actually called to inform me he had just taken our Pedro into his care! Knowing that he would receive the same loving professional care as or Aunt and actually previously my Father and Mother, made the world of difference. Every single experience we have had with Newhaven, has been beyond reproach and my family cannot recommend them highly enough
