Feb 2026Jace was sincere and went above and beyond with his guidance and support throughout the funeral planning process. My aunty had passed suddenly, leaving her sister whom herself is in the pain management phase of her cancer battle, and her elderly brother. My surviving aunt was especially fragile, mentally stricken with grief and physically fatigued from cancer. Jace offered his professionalism and experience but he did so with patience, genuine care and thoughtfulness. The viewing was held separately to the funeral service, to support the needs of my aunty's health, ensuring she had the best chance of attending, as this was important to her. Jace communicated on our behalf with the Church, which overall made the process of aligning times and dates much smoother. On the day of the service, Jace again went above and beyond and at one point he was needed to calm and guide the pallbearers due to overwhelming grief with some of the men, he recognised the situation and calmly resolved the situation. I have told all family and friends in Darwin that I have no hesitation in recommending Jace and Simplicity Funerals. Sadly, I'm aware that cancer will soon take from my family again, and I will only be entrusting Jace and Simplicity Funerals with their funeral arrangements when that time comes.

Mar 2020Learning of a loved ones passing at sudden notice is always confronting and is a highly emotional thing to go through, regardless of age - especially more difficult when your 90 year old Dad had retired to Darwin from Melbourne 24years ago, creates another layer of logistics and potential stress in bringing together a funeral service within a couple of days. Jace Cavanagh Funeral Director at Simplicity Funerals was awesome in helping my brother and I pull off a very personal and authentic funeral for our dad. What made it easy for us is that Dad had discussed on many occasions prior to him passing on his preference for a celebration of life. Accordingly, dad’s service did not follow a traditional path, and ultimately it was down to Jace’s flexibility, deep empathy, experience and understanding that allowed us to create a warm send-off in keeping with our wishes and dad’s. June 2021I was in an unfortunate situation where I lost 2 loved ones in the space of 2 years. My initial dealings with Jace and Graeme at Simplicity Funerals NT was in 2020 with the passing of my niece who was a baby. I was provided with so much compassion from Jace and Graeme that at No time did I feel like I was just a client or just a transaction. I felt like I was one of their family and that my loved one was one a part of their family. Early this year my beloved brother passed and I didn’t hesitate and I called Simplicity Funerals NT. Again, Jace was amazing. He organised an interstate transfer and accommodated some complex requests. With Simplicity Funerals NT I felt like a part of their family, Jace bent over backwards to make sure that everything went as planned. My brother’s funeral ended up being a huge affair with over 500 people attending the service and burial, Jace and Graeme were prepared and ensured that everything ran smoothly. Thank you Jace and Graeme. My family is forever grateful for the compassion and care you provided.
