Picaluna - Beautiful Funerals - Wheeler Heights

When arranging my father’s funeral, I hoped for a personal service that reflected who he was and what was important to him and his loved ones. A family friend recommended Picaluna, and I am so happy that I followed that recommendation. Amanda Garland, in particular, was fantastic. In the early stages of sadness and mourning, she eased the planning process by coming to our home (together with a delicious cake she'd made) to meet us and to hear our wishes, and to describe the types of services that Picaluna could arrange. Amanda was professional, compassionate, thoughtful and respectful - we always felt that our wishes had been heard, and where appropriate she provided recommendations based on her obvious wealth of experience. She was always approachable and responsive, which was incredibly important to us during what was already a stressful time. The funeral we planned together was perfect. Dad would have been proud. We engaged Amanda not only to assist with planning but also to act as our celebrant for the funeral itself, and she performed both of these duties impeccably. Pricing was perhaps on the higher end, but I consider it a bargain for the personal and complete service that Picaluna provided.
