Appalling. I know that there is a history of good service and a high respect from this firm but it seems that this has not carried over with the new owners. At every point it seemed that there was chaos, and a blasè approach to what was an extremely delicate matter for our family, of losing someone quite suddenly. I understand that the person involved with dealing with our case was only employed for 4 months or so, but this should be ample time to understand that if there is more than one part of the preparation that has been dealt with poorly, that one should pull themselves together and be sharp on every other aspect of the service to compensate. Not the case here. The day of the service we were told to meet at the front of the parlour to (as was tradition in this small town) follow a procession of vehicles to the cemetery. 25 minutes after our allotted time we were told by a family member (not the parlour) that the coffin was already on site, negating the need of the pallbearers. This was after being expressly told by the organiser to make sure that we were in front at 10:30. Music not working, flower spread being buried with the body instead of laid on the grave are only some of the things that went to pieces with a whole 2 weeks of preparation. Almost every moment was tainted by a lack of organisation and for sight.
