Beware when dealing with Memories and Matthes. Initially, we were introduced by our customer to complete a buyback process for used devices for Memories. We conducted our trade-in assessment for Memories, and Matthes was happy with the price after haggling and comparing our trade-in prices with those on Facebook Marketplace. Matthes confirmed that the device had been removed from iCloud, and we proceeded to collect the device. We reassessed the device at our office, completing the assessment within the promised timeframe. We followed up a couple of times with Matthes to exclude the locked devices and proceed with the payment for the rest, but he chose not to proceed. Two months later, Matthes finally reached out again and wanted to have the payment sorted out at the price agreed upon two months ago. We tried to explain to Matthes that the price had been reduced by $50-$100 for each device (as a form of goodwill, I am happy to come in between to offer a $25 reduction only) due to the current market conditions over the past two months. He started to act rude and wanted to cancel the buyback order. We explained to him that the price reduction was due to his decision not to proceed when we initially offered, resulting in us holding the asset and being unable to offload it. He responded that this was our problem and not related to him.
