Nov 2025When my husband Owen passed away in January, Holy Cross Funerals looked after Owen, myself, and my family with so much care, compassion, and respect. From the very beginning, they were absolutely amazing. Bec was our first connection, and she was incredible. She took care of all the paperwork, lifted my sons’ spirits, and always knew exactly what to say to bring a little light into such a dark time. Madonna organised the booklets and handled all the admin details so beautifully, and Deacon Tim gave Owen the most dignified and heartfelt send-off we could have wished for. Through our darkest days, Holy Cross Funerals were a light guiding us through. I will be forever grateful for their kindness, empathy, and professionalism. We also had the difficult task of repatriating Owen’s ashes home to Ireland. Bec was there at the crematorium when I collected his ashes, making sure everything was properly sealed so I could bring him home safely. That level of care meant the world to me. Thank you, Holy Cross Funerals, for walking beside us with such compassion and grace when we needed it most. ❤️

The level of compassion and professionalism afforded to the family exceeded all my expectations during the darkest time of their lives. They never made anyone feel rushed and always prioritized all the family’s emotional needs above logistics. Their ability to handle every detail allowed us all the space to simply grieve and be present for our loved ones. They also incorporated personal touches that beautifully honoured Orla’s memory, making a devastating day feel profoundly special and personal. Rebecca in particular involved and guided Orla’s older sibling and Parents with gentleness and care making this impossible situation as gentle as possible which is a true testament to her character and that of the team. Thank you for your essential service and for being such compassionate human beings during this family’s greatest sorrow.
